Housekeeper
£12.56 per hour, 16 hours per week
Permanent position
Hotel du Vin Brighton
Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest of standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet our guests expectations of a perfect night’s stay.
Hotel du Vin provide a range of luxury and boutique hotels in 18 landmark locations around the United Kingdom. Synonymous with style and hospitality, Hotel du Vin offers exquisite accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere throughout our chain of hotels along with sumptuous food and wine in our trademark Hotel du Vin Bistros.
As a Public Area Housekeeper, you will regularly
interact with our guests; therefore, a good standard of conversational English
is essential.
You must also be comfortable working independently for
periods of time. This role is vital to the smooth operation of Hotel Du Vin,
ensuring that all public areas, including function rooms and the courtyard, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
In addition to public area responsibilities, you will be
required to support the wider housekeeping team by assisting with guest
bedrooms, linen porter duties, and ad-hoc maintenance tasks. These include jet washing, deep cleaning of showers using
steam equipment, and descaling.
You will work set shifts, typically between 9:00 am and
4:00pm; however, flexibility is essential to meet business needs. This role
will require availability to work on any day of the week.
Housekeeping is a physically demanding role and
requires a good level of fitness. Full training will be provided, including the
safe use of chemicals and equipment.
Experience in a similar role isn't required but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel is essential.
We actively encourage internal development and progression and Hotel Du Vin is on target to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year end. Candidates for this position would be given the opportunity to enroll on our apprenticeship scheme after they have completed their probationary period.
