Role: General Counsel EMEA

Frasers Hospitality is seeking a commercially focused senior lawyer with significant post-qualified experience to lead the legal function across its EMEA portfolio. This is a broad sole-counsel role supporting a mixed estate of owned and operated hotel and serviced apartment assets across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will partner closely with operations, development, asset management and finance teams, providing pragmatic, solutions-driven advice in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiation and drafting of Hotel Management Agreements, technical services agreements and related documentation.
- Advise on real estate matters including leases, renewals, divestments, acquisitions and development projects.
- Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts (procurement, IT, distribution, marketing and agency agreements).
- Oversee disputes and manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
- Act as regional lead for data protection, including GDPR compliance, data processing arrangements, breach management and privacy governance.
- Partner with senior leadership to assess legal risk, structure transactions and support commercial decision-making across the EMEA portfolio.
What we're looking for:
- Significant post-qualified experience (England & Wales or equivalent common law jurisdiction preferred).
- Strong hospitality and/or real estate experience is preferred.
- In-house experience is beneficial.
- Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable engaging with institutional owners and senior stakeholders.
- Data protection experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
- Strong team player who can demonstrate an ability to take ownership of work streams and able to work independently.
- Sleeves rolled up approach. Happy in the detail whilst understanding the bigger picture.
- A rigorous and methodical approach with an eye for detail.
